You must be 18 years of age, and the holder of a valid passport, and proof of six months residency.

Non European Citizens. 

You must be 18 years of age, the holder of a valid residency permit (alien card), and have proof of six months residency to apply for a licence.

You can apply for a residency permit by completing a form which is available from the immigration office (Near the main Post Office in Paphos). This needs to be returned on the day of your appointment with birth certificate, passport and 2 passport sized photos, and any other documents that they request.

You also need proof that you have lived in Cyprus for at least 6 months.

PROOF OF 6 MONTHS RESIDENCY 

valid forms of proof are, date on your residency card, utility bill, Social Security payments from 6 months ago, any paperwork or letters from an official government body from 6 months ago or a school certificate or letter from a school located in Cyprus. All of these things need to be dated at least 6 months before you apply. For proof not listed, please contact us and we will be happy to check if what you have is valid.

You also need to take your passport with you. 

YOUR FIRST LESSON

Your instructor will issue you with a driver training record which will be completed on every lesson to chart your progress and give you an indication of when you will be ready for your practical test.

If you have previous driving experience your first lesson will be a one hour assessment lesson. Before your lesson we will ask you about your previous driving experience and we will plan an individual route based on the answers that you have given us.  

Your instruction will be provided on a one to one basis and we will always honour the full 60 minutes of each lesson.

HOW MANY LESSONS WILL YOU NEED

The average amount of lessons for total beginners who pass their driving test is about 35-45 hours of professional tuition. However this varies from pupil to pupil with those with previous experience needing only around 10-20 hours of professional tuition.

We highly recommend 2 hour driving lessons if possible. In a 2 hour lesson the instructor can cover much more ground as you are only having to recap and become familiar with the car once. This is particularly beneficial in the beginning of your driving career. We find that pupils learn quicker and pass with fewer lessons if they have 2 hours at a time.
